Small Daily Acts

"Life is made up of small daily acts. Savings in food budgets come by pennies, not dollars. Clothing budgets are cut by mending stitch by stitch, seam by seam. Houses are kept in good repair nail by nail. Provident homes come not by decree or by broad brushstroke. Provident homes come from small acts performed day after day. When we see in our minds the great vision, then we discipline ourselves by steady, small steps that make it happen."(Barbra B. Smith, former relief society general president -Ensign November 1980)

Sometimes the prospect of getting our food storage and 72 hour kits ready can be overwhelming. It's hard to know where to start. If you only take one thing away from this post, I hope it's this... Do something small. Buy an extra can of tuna on you next trip to the grocery store, gather a pair of pants and a t-shirt to put in your 72 hour kit or put a few dollars in the bank and start a rainy day fund.
